About Me

I was born on the south side of Chicago and lived there up until I graduated high-school and  joined the United States Army. Thanks to the Army, I have lived and been to South Carolina, South Korea, Iraq, and Colorado Springs.  During my years as a soldier I met my husband and we conceived our son, Lamar Junior. After four years in the Army I received an honorable discharge and started my collegiate career. I am now a business student at Columbus State University, a military wife, a mother and aspiring entrepreneur and business leader. I am the production of two wonderful parents. My mother who is pursuing a doctorate degree in business is one of the smartest people I know and my father who lost both of his parents is the hardest working man I have ever known.

My philosophy on life is that each and every one of us should be working towards fulfilling our GOD given missions. We are not here just for us but to help make the world a better place. I believe that we should listen to the voices in our hearts that tell us what we are here to do and pursue it. I will not stop until I become the woman GOD put me on earth to be and complete the missions GOD expects me to complete.

My favorite quote to live by is from Immanuel Kant "Act in such a way that you always treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of any other, never simply as a means, but always at the same time as an end..."

Another favorite quote of mine is,
“Three things there are that will never come back, an arrow shot forth on its destined track. The appointed hour that could not wait and the helpful word that was spoken too late.”
