I Support

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS: Losing my grandmother who I never got to meet and my aunt and several other women in my family to cancer and other forms of cancer has made me realize the importance of breast cancer awareness and overcoming this terrible illness. Every year I support local organizations in raising awareness and donate to finding a cure. THINK PINK!

BLACK FAMILIES:  The Black family is something that needs to be addressed with the amount of children being raised in one parent households. I not only married my husband for myself and my son; I married him to be a great example for my community. It is going to take a collective effort of the people in my community to overcome this terrible single parent household trend. I plan to be a role model as a wife and mother and influence those around me about the importance of two parent households. THINK RED, BLACK AND GREEN!

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS: My big cousin Loni House is a avid supporter of domestic violence awareness. Losing her daughter and granddaughter, Nova and Ava to domestic violence has brought pain to her, her children and our family. Each and every day she keeps me and everyone around her aware of the consequences of domestic violence. I am now a supporter of raising awareness for domestic violence. THINK PURPLE! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Domestic-Violence-AwarenessPurple/290639797620612

OVERCOMING CHILDHOOD OBESITY: As I see more and more children who appear to be overweight I realize this epidemic of childhood obesity is becoming a problem. Do not rob your children a better quality of life by making them obese and more susceptible to health problems and self esteem issues. Be aware of the problems caused by obesity and avoid them.

THE TROOPS:  I can not stress enough the amount of sacrifices United States soldiers and their families has sacrificed. As a veteran who has deployed to Iraq, an Army wife of a Sergeant First Class who has deployed three times and a mother of a son who ask for his father every day; I live the sacrifice every day. I support the troops in every aspect of my life. THINK YELLOW!
